Our colleague, Ramir Perez, represented Kaesler Nutrition, one of the event’s sponsors. Around 400 participants, mainly from the compound feed and premix industry, listened to 15 interesting presentations. The speakers from the industry and academic world presented a balanced mixture of topics surrounding the role of animal nutrition for animal health. Above all the topic “Reducing the use of antibiotics in animal husbandry” provoked much discussion. All in all there was an excellent atmosphere at the event with many opportunities for professional exchange among experts. The participants also highly welcomed the additional access to “Porciforum”, a parallel event with some 700 participants. With a total of around 1100 participants these symposia, initiated by Nutrinews, are gaining more and more in importance.
