Many diets for piglets, broilers as well high-performing sows show a deficiency in valine.  Supplementation with L-valine allows the diet to be formulated according to the ideal protein level with lower crude protein content.

The crude protein content can be reduced by 1 – 2% points in diets for piglets and lactating sows and by 0.5 – 1% points in broiler diets. The supplementation of L-valine in diets with lower crude protein content helps to avoid interactions between the branch changed amino acids. These interactions can increase the effect of existing valine deficiency on performance.

A big step to the ideal protein in the feed.

The optimal ratio of valine:lysine (standardized ileal digestible) is min. 70% for piglet diets and 80% for broiler diets.
