Breaking up anti-nutritive effects

In times when resources are becoming increasingly scarce and the need for improved efficiency is rising, carbohydrate-cleaving enzymes, such as Enzy Carboplus, are of particular significance. They remove the anti-nutritional effects of certain carbohydrates from the area of plant cell walls and thus increase nutrient digestibility, and consequently zootechnical performance. In addition, they effectively prevent an increase in the viscosity of the content of the small intestine, which has a positive effect on nutrient absorption and gut microbiome. 

 

NSP-degrading enzymes, such as endo-1,4-β-xylanase and endo-1,3(4)-β-glucanase, break down long-chain, soluble and insoluble arabinoxylans and glucans in cereals and cereal by-products to shorter chain polysaccharides. As a result, these NSP lose their capacity to bind water and the viscosity of the digesta remains unchanged. Furthermore, cell wall structures are broken open and nutrients are released from the cell interior. 

The product Enzy Carboplus, which is EU-approved for broilers, pullets, turkeys and piglets, contains endo-1,4-β-xylanase and endo-1,3(4)-β-glucanase in a standardised and optimised ratio. The effect of Enzy Carboplus on nutrient digestibility and zootechnical performance was proven in numerous scientific trials at international institutes within the framework of the approval process.
